THERE will be increased load shedding nationwide between September 12 and September 16 2022 due to depressed electricity generation on the grid, the Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) has said.
In a notice to customers, ZETDC advised customers to use electricity sparingly and to always switch off electrical appliances when not in use.
“Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company would like to advise its valued customers countrywide that there will be increased load curtailment from the 12th to 16th September 2022. This is due to depressed generation on the grid coupled by increased electricity demand as a result of increased economic activities. Our engineers are working round the clock to ensure full restoration of service,” ZETDC said in notice released by its stakeholder relations department.
