Kasipiti home appeals for help

Kasipiti Children’s Home in Greendale is appealing for assistance to buy building materials to build a chicken run to keep chickens.

In a statement, Kasipiti Children’s Home said the institution recently received 200 road runner chickens but does not have a proper chicken run.

“We are kindly appealing to you for assistance in cash or in kind for 115 by 18 rolls of brick force, DPC (115 by four), 25 cubic pit sand, 10 cubic river sand, 10 cubic  three quarter stones, 30 litres of termite poison, a roll of polythene (thick) paper, 4,5 metres by 23 1 BR sheets, five kilogrammes of roofing nails, 170 mm by 6m by 4, 70mm by 6m by 4 and 4 inch by 4 IBS timber, tying wire, security fence (45m by 2m), mesh wire 45m by 1m, 15 round steel poles, six supporting poles, 15 by 130mm bolts and 75 bags cement,” the home said in a statement.

The home said well-wishers were welcome to chip in and help them with any quantity of the required items.

Kasipiti Children’s Home is located at Number 13 Cleveland Road in Greendale.

The home takes care of 18 children; six boys and 12 girls.
