A Zimbabwean food show is set to be launched on DStv’s Honey Channel, and a call has been made for Zimbabwean foodies to bid to be the presenter of the series.

MultiChoice Zimbabwe publicity and public relations manager Liz Dziva said the show will be called My Zim Plate and it will take the style of the existing series on the channel being produced in other African countries.

“It is in the style of existing series on Honey Channel such as My Naija Plate, My Kenyan Plate and My Zambian Plate, and will platform to the rest of the continent unique features of our own cuisine.

“Food experts and enthusiasts who would like to audition to be a presenter should create a captivating one-minute video, explaining how to prepare their favourite Zimbabwean dish. In one minute they should sell themselves and come across as the right person for this exciting role,” said Dziva.

She described the show  as an exciting concept and a chance for Zimbabwe to showcase local cuisine to the whole continent.

Audition videos can be sent via WhatsApp on 064 602 1342 or email  [email protected]. The deadline for submission is October 7, 2022.
