THE City of Harare on Wednesday conducted a dump clearance exercise in Ward 16 to clear illegal dumps where residents were dumping uncollected rubbish.
According to Ward 16 Councillor Denford Ngadziore, all the major illegal dumps in Mabelreign were cleared.
In a statement, Cllr Ngadziore said six tipper trucks were dispatched to the ward for the dump clearance.
Cllr Ngadziore told Suburban that they also cleared the dump at Mabelreign shopping centre.
“The Mabelreign dump was last cleared about three months ago,” he said.
Cllr Ngadziore thanked residents who took it upon themselves to clear dumps in the ward.
He said door-to-door refuse collections will take place at a day to be advised.
