SPAR Kamfinsa has changed ownership and is now part of the Yellowcob Group of corporate SPAR stores.
This brings the number of corporate SPAR stores to 17 and includes SPAR Village, Ballantyne, Letombo and Braeside.
SPAR Zimbabwe assistant marketing manager, Ms Shamiso Pfumayaramba said the former owner of SPAR Kamfinsa, Mr Mike Callaghan has since left the country.
“SPAR Kamfinsa was formerly owned by an independent SPAR retailer, Mr Mike Callaghan who made the decision to emigrate with his family at the end of 2019,” she said.
Ms Pfumayaramba said the store was refurbished after the takeover.
“The store underwent a mini-revamp after the change of ownership and the range was altered to match pricing and products in the SPAR corporate group of stores.
“In line with our ‘Better Together’ policy, most of the original SPAR Kamfinsa staff were kept on while some new specialists were employed for the service departments, which have been expanded.”
