A Borrowdale resident lost US$10 000 cash, a CZ pistol with four rounds and jewellery, among other valuables, when five armed robbers raided their home over the weekend.

The robbers, who were wearing face masks, jumped over a precast wall to gain entry before attacking the complainant.

National police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.

“Police in Harare are investigating a case of robbery which occurred at a house in Borrowdale, Harare, on June 8, 2024 at around 2030 hours. Five unidentified male suspects, who were wearing face masks and armed with a pistol, jumped over a precast wall to gain entry before attacking the complainant.

“The suspects ransacked the house and stole US$10 000 cash, a CZ pistol with a magazine of four rounds and jewellery, among other valuables, and went away. Anyone with information to report at any nearest police station,” he said.
