12-hour power interruption in Greendale, Msasa

The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC), has advised its customers in some parts of the Harare region that there will be a 12-hour power supply interruption on Wednesday October 20, 2021.

The company said the power supply interruption is to allow its engineers to carry out critical maintenance works.

The affected areas include Greendale and parts of the Msasa industrial area. Sections of Greendale to endure the 12-hour power supply interruption are parts of Kennedy Drive, Queen Elizabeth Road, Courtney Selous Primary School, Court Road, The Palms and Greendale Fire Station.

In the Msasa industrial area parts of George Drive, TelOne, Phillips, Blue Ribbon Foods, Fidelity Printers, Hino Toyota, Coronation Avenue, Summerdale Walk and Ivydale Walk will be affected.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, ZETDC said electricity will be unavailable from 0600 hours to 1800 hours in the affected areas but customers were advised to treat all circuits as live during this period as power may be restored without notice.

“The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) would like to advise its valued customers in Harare Region that there would be a power supply interruption on Wednesday 20 October 2021 from 0600 hours to 1800 hours for the purpose of carrying out critical maintenance works.

“Customers are advised to treat all circuits as live during this period as power may be restored without notice. The inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted.”
